Me and my Mom, at Roman’s Graduation.

Tiki’s Mother’s Day Brunch continues to attract more locals and visitors each year. With our diverse menu of local favorites like the poke bar and house-made kimchee plus Tiki’s Mother’s Day favorites like the build your own omelet station and pancake bar, there is something for everyone across the board.

Something Special for the Early Risers

Maybe you need to share this Mother’s Day with more than one special lady, maybe you have things to do or maybe you just enjoy that peaceful time of day before things really get rolling. This year, to let even more guests enjoy our brunch buffet we are opening at 7:30AM. As always we offer 3 hours of free valet parking in Waikiki and an outstanding buffet selection to spoil all your mothers and grandmothers. The ocean views are gorgeous and there will be plenty of time to eat, enjoy the food and talk story.

Dreaming of Mother’s Day

Although organizing the Mother’s Day buffet doesn’t keep me up at night anymore I still have dreams about it. When you are not doing buffets on a daily basis you put a little more thought into the preparation. Over the years we have developed a menu for this buffet that is really fun and really different. Every year we change a few things and tweak it a little while keeping those items that have generated a really positive response. We have all your favorites like the all-you-can-eat snow crab legs, crab Eggs Benedict, hand carved salt crusted prime rib and macadamia nut mahi mahi.

The Advantages of Being Busy

When you run a busy restaurant in Waikiki one of the benefits of seating 700 to 900 guests for brunch is that everything is so fresh. We go through our fresh product so swiftly that you know nothing will be hanging around on the buffet for long. There will be plenty of fresh local products to enjoy like the Nalo farms mixed greens salad, Kula onion marmalade and seasonal fruit.

Sweet and a Little Decadent

Of course there will be a good assortment of desserts including lilikoi cheesecake, red velvet cupcakes and chocolate tarts. Our bar will be featuring a couple of Mother’s Day cocktail specials. There will be Perrier Jouet champagne as well as mimosas and the Absolut Vodka build-your-own bloody Mary bar.

Slipping into the Local End of Waikiki

At Tiki’s we always enjoy a good mix of both locals and visitors alike. For those locals that haven’t been to Waikiki lately, we understand. Parking can be a hassle, not to mention expensive and you may just not want to fight the traffic. Tiki’s Grill and Bar is located in the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel near the Kapahulu end of Waikiki. If you’re coming from the West side just stay on the H-1 until the 6th Ave exit and turn down Mooheau Ave to Kapahulu. The lights at Mooheau and Kapahulu have been changed to make turning onto Kapahulu easier and it makes slipping into this end of Waikiki a piece of cake. Take advantage of our 3 hour valet parking and discover just how easy (and beautiful) Waikiki can be this Mother’s Day.
